Tanya qualified as an Integrative Counsellor in 2011 from Greenwich University’s BACP accredited degree course and has worked in a variety of settings since then.

Most recently Tanya has worked as part of Surrey’s Early Help, holistically supporting families with multiple and complex needs in the home and within Primary and Secondary school settings working with anxiety, addictions, relationships, trauma and life transitions.

Along with the more traditional talking therapy Tanya can offer a range of art form therapies to aid expression if the individual is comfortable with such an approach. Tanya has experience working creatively with clients who may feel safer working with an image rather than talking more directly about their feelings – who appreciate the gentler process to promote self-awareness, acceptance and healing.

Tanya trained with and worked at, The Place 2Be as a play therapist for 18 months (in a primary school setting) using creative work and play to provide children with the opportunity to be heard and to express their feelings safely. Tanya has worked in a residential treatment centre supporting individuals with addictions, eating disorders, anxiety and depressions and managed the bespoke facility there. She has worked with young people in colleges providing counselling as well as working for a charity providing counselling for young people.
